CSI’s Work

CSI is active in seven states of Nigeria. Working in collaboration with reliable partners on the ground, it seeks to provide medical assistance to victims of terrorist attacks, financial support to displaced persons, care for orphaned and marginalised children, and access to food and water for internally displaced persons.

In the city of Jos, CSI helps fund a refugee camp. At the end of June 2018, more than 200 people were killed in Fulani attacks on ten villages in the region of Jos. Numerous houses were burned down and entire villages were destroyed. (See video below)

Where CSI is active

  1. Plateau State: In the city of Jos CSI helps with food distribution, clothing, bedding, medical treatment and preparing a permanent IDPs camp.
  2. Adamawa State: Victims of Boko Haram receive support in the form of food, medical treatment, school fees and microloans.
  3. Borno State: CSI supports two IDP camps – one sheltering 4,000 families.
  4. Enugu State: CSI covers the school fees for 136 students. It also helps victims of Boko Haram with food and medical treatment.
  5. Kaduna State: CSI helps victims of Fulani herdsmen with food and medical treatment.
  6. Kano State: CSI provides clean water, food, medical treatment and nutrition training. It ensures the survival of the poorest families by gifting goats and sheep.
  7. Niger State: CSI supports the victims of a 2011 church bombing in Madalla in which 47 Christians were killed and hundreds severely wounded during the Christmas season. It provides medical treatment, food support and microloans.
